Online conference "Days of International Medical Tourism with the Republic of Korea"

On April 24, an online conference "Days of International Medical Cooperation with the Republic of Korea" was successfully held as part of the development of international scientific cooperation with leading scientific and medical organizations of the Republic of Korea in the field of healthcare and the export of medical services. The event was aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in the field of healthcare and medical tourism.

The conference was organized by NIIOZMM of the Moscow Department of Healthcare and the company "MedicaTour". The joint work made it possible to create a platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge and professional achievements between specialists from the two countries.

The presenters and moderators of the conference were:

• Evgeny Chernyshev, President of the Association of Medical and Academic Tourism
• Tatiana Sokolov, General Director of LLC "MedicaTour"

The welcoming words came from:

• Aksenova Elena Ivanovna, Director of the NIOZMM DZM
• Yuk Gen Eun, Director of the Moscow Representative Office of the National Tourism Organization of Korea.

Before the speeches of the Korean speakers, Tatiana Sokolov, CEO of the MedicaTour company, provided detailed information on the level of medical development and the current state of medical tourism in South Korea.

The Republic of Korea is one of the international leaders in the global medical tourism market. The country has been developing inbound medical tourism since 2009 with active government support and demonstrates dozens of implemented tools for developing the export of medical services. The conference was attended by 8 specialists, each of whom presented information about the capabilities and technologies used in their medical centers, as well as shared practical experience in the implementation of the national program for the development of medical tourism.

The conference became an important stage in the development of international medical cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Korea. The event laid the foundation for further strengthening partnerships in the field of medicine and tourism.
