The educational accelerator program "Development of medical tourism in Perm region" has been launched in Perm, Russia

On September 23, the educational accelerator program "Development of medical tourism in the Perm Region" officially launched in Perm (Russia).

The program was implemented with the support of the regional Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism and is aimed at developing its own projects on medical tourism among medical organizations and participants in the tourism industry. Dozens of projects developed within the framework of the accelerator will become the basis for the implementation of a regional project on medical tourism in the Perm Region.

The mentors of the acceleration program are:

• Evgeny Chernyshev — President of the Association of Medical and Academic Tourism, member of the working group on medical tourism at the State Duma, Co-Chairman of the Committee on Medical Tourism of the Russian Union of Travel Industry;
• Tatiana Sokolov is an international expert on medical tourism, the founder of the company "MedicaTour" and the author of the course on medical tourism and medical tourism at the Russian University of People's Friendship.

Welcoming speeches were made at the opening ceremony of the program:

• Ekaterina Ayrich — member of the Regional Council, Leader of the Committee for the Development of SMEs of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of the Perm branch of Delovaya Rossiya;
• Evgeny Rozhnev— First Deputy Minister of Health of the Perm Region;

On September 23, an introductory seminar was held, with online sessions of participants with experts ahead. And finally, the participants formed projects for subsequent defense before a commission consisting of representatives of the Ministries of Health of the Perm Region, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment and the Ministry of Tourism with the participation of federal experts.

The event is organized by the Perm Entrepreneurship Development Fund, a non-profit organization, and the educational course is being conducted with the support of the Perm Entrepreneurship Development Fund, a non-profit organization, and the My Business Center.
