In Moscow there was created Dmitry Rogachev State National Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology of the Ministry of Health of Russia by order of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The center is one of the largest clinics in Europe. It contains the best achievements of modern medical science, designed to serve the health of children. The center is equipped with the latest medical equipment from leading manufacturers in the world, and on its sites the most advanced and original technologies in the treatment of hematological and oncological diseases are successfully practiced.

The purpose of the center is to develop and introduce new methods of treatment and medical and social rehabilitation of children with diseases of the blood of the immune system, hemoblastosis, tumors of the nervous system and a number of other diseases associated with the activities of the clinic. The Center conducts research at the world level. On the basis of the permanent work of a group of scientists from two countries of Russia and Germany, the Moscow-Berlin protocol on the study of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children was created.

In the Center, in conditions of round-the-clock and day care, as well as in an ambulatory clinic, specialized high-tech medical care is provided for children from Russia and foreign countries. Patients aged from infancy to 21 years, are treated for various forms of cancer. One of the priorities is the treatment of leukemia in children, where the survival rate is 95%. There is no analogue of such treatment in other countries yet.

The clinic conducts unique operations for the transplantation of bone marrow cells from related and unrelated donors living throughout the world. More than 200 such operations are carried out annually.

Operating unit

Equipping the operating unit of the Center with modern equipment allows for organ-preserving operations in most cases with any tumor localization. Surgeons of the clinic own computer navigation technology, endoprosthetics. In Dmitry Rogachev National Research Centre are carried out complex surgical interventions.

Intensive care unit

In the Center operates an intensive care unit for children with diseases of the hematopoietic system, malignant neoplasms, diseases of the immune system and high-tech assistance is provided at the level of world standards.

Department of Radiotherapy

Department of Radiotherapy treats tumor diseases of any level of complexity. Currently, the unit is equipped with a computer tomograph, two linear accelerators, as well as a state-of-the-art tomotherapy apparatus (ThomoTherapy), which allows to perform radiation of increased accuracy as safe as possible for healthy organs and tissues, as well as to conduct bone marrow radiation.

Hospital

The clinic is designed for 470 beds (262 - around-the-clock hospital, 30 - a day stay hospital (on a 2-shift schedule), 178 - treatment and rehabilitation beds in the Scientific Center Russian field. Every year more than 10 thousand patients receive care in Dmitry Rogachev National Research Centre.

Boarding house for outpatient treatment

Sick children arriving at the Dmitry Rogachev Center from regions of Russia and foreign countries, and undergoing outpatient treatment in a day hospital, live in a boarding house that is part of the architectural complex of the Center. At the same time, 165 patients can be accommodated in the comfortable rooms of the boarding house, accompanied by a parent.

Dmitry Rogachev National Research Centre has modern medical and diagnostic equipment, highly effective therapeutic technologies are applied.

Scientific Center Russian Field

Part of the Rogachev Center, the Medical and Rehabilitation Research Center Russian field, is working to restore health, improve the quality of life and social adaptation of children who successfully completed or are undergoing various stages of special treatment of oncological and hematological diseases, as well as immune system disorders.

The Center organizes congresses, conferences in accordance with the profile of activity. Many eminent scientists from different countries of the world carry out scientific work together with Center's scientists.
