The State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the City of Moscow, the Botkin City Clinical Hospital of the Moscow Department of Health (Botkin Hospital DM), is the largest multidisciplinary medical institution in the capital. More than 100,000 people are treated here every year.

The official opening of the hospital took place in 1910, it is one of the oldest clinics in the city. Kozma Terentyevich Soldatenkov, an honorary citizen of Moscow, merchant and philanthropist, bequeathed two million rubles for the construction of a "city hospital without distinction of ranks, classes and religions." It was named after him until 1920, when it was renamed Botkinskaya in honor of the founder of the Russian therapeutic school, Sergei Petrovich Botkin.

Today, the S.P. Botkin DZM State Medical University is a modern multidisciplinary hospital that provides assistance in all areas of medicine. In 2018, according to the results of the profile Formula of Life festival, DZM was recognized as the best in Moscow. The hospital has 1,800 beds, more than 90 departments receive patients, and about 70,000 operations are performed annually. In recent years, the hospital's medical equipment fleet has been completely renovated: more than 13,000 units of modern medical equipment worth about 5 billion rubles have been purchased.
