Functional diagnostics

The Carolina Medical Center has introduced methods for functional examinations, and it is one of the first clinical centers in Poland to systematically use them to assess the musculoskeletal system. These methods are based on the principles and experience derived from the biomechanics of sport, respectively adapted to the needs of rehabilitation of patients of the orthopedic and rehabilitation clinic, as well as the elderly.

Doctors and specialists of the Center for Functional Diagnostics use the results of biomechanical measurements (previously used in assessing the strength of athletes involved in sports professionally and in improving training) to diagnose the consequences of various kinds of overloads of the musculoskeletal system, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation and possible modification of the treatment process.

Hospital for in-patients

The Carolina Medical Center is located on the 5th floor of the clinic. At his disposal are 21 single or double comfortably furnished rooms for patients.

The length of stay in the hospital is determined by the degree of complexity of the operation and the recommendations of the doctor. As a rule, it is 1-2 days.

Rehabilitation

The Carolina Medical Center considers rehabilitation as an integral part of the treatment process, invaluable in terms of returning to mobility after sports injuries, surgery, and conservative treatment.

The patients are cared for by a group of about 30 professional and experienced physiotherapists using methods that correspond to modern world trends. Rehabilitation progress is checked by biomechanics on the basis of objective tests conducted in the Center for Functional Diagnostics.

After rehabilitation, the patient begins training at the Training Center, where, under the guidance of the coach, he works to strengthen the muscles weakened from surgery or trauma. The rehabilitation process is controlled by the attending physician and the diagnostic doctors.

Thanks to the constant cooperation between doctors, rehabilitators, functional diagnosticians and trainers, one can constantly monitor progress and react quickly at each stage of treatment. This approach to the treatment process allows the Carolina Medical Center to be a leader in the market of physiotherapy services.
