SRERO-screen analysis, which can help to reduce the number of attempts of IVF
IVF is highly effective even in severe forms of infertility. Millions of people in the world were born thanks to this procedure. If you are doing IVF, most likely, sooner or later pregnancy will occur. But most women want to get pregnant on the first try, and if it doesn't work out, then at least on the second. The essence of the analysis
SPERO-screen analysis for calculating the probability of pregnancy. It is calculated by a complex mathematical algorithm (artificial intelligence) based on the level of ten hormones in the blood and anamnesis data, which are obtained from a questionnaire filled out by a woman or a doctor. The questionnaire specifies the weight, height, body weight, duration and features of the menstrual cycle, experience of previous pregnancies, experience of infertility treatment, surgeries and illnesses.
In the results, SPERO-screen is given:
- table showing the concentration of 10 hormones in the blood;
- the SPERO index is from 0.1 to 9.9 – the larger it is, the higher the chances of conception in a particular menstrual cycle;
- graphical results – three "wheels" of multicolored squares-days indicating the most favorable period for conception – the green zone of the scale.
With an index of 7.0 – the chances of conception are the greatest, below 3.0 – the chances are the least. With a small index, you can also get pregnant, but the probability of success is very low, so it's better to skip such cycles, focusing on more promising ones.
In the results form, you will also see a graphical representation of each of the next 3 cycles. One day is a square of a certain color, from red to green. Green means the greatest chances of conception, red means the least. All other colors are intermediate. The chart shows the fertility window – the ovulation period and a few days before it. Ovulation will be determined by the length of the cycle, which you yourself indicate in the questionnaire, i.e. by the calculation method. To more accurately determine ovulation, it is better to do folliculometry or urinary ovulation tests. If ovulation shifts, then it is worth focusing not on the index, but on the color of the scale on the corresponding day. The compatibility of the actual ovulation and the green zone of the result scale is important.
How will SPERO-screen help a medical tourist
The main thing that SPERO-screen will help couples undergoing treatment abroad or in another Russian city is to reduce the number of attempts by choosing the optimal cycles for follicle puncture or embryo transfer.
For example, a woman gets results: in the next menstrual cycle, the SPERO index is 4.3, for the second cycle 6.5, and for the third cycle 3.0. In such a situation, it is obvious that IVF is better done in the second cycle, because the chances of conception will be greatest. The other two cycles can be skipped so as not to waste effort and financial resources on attempts that are unlikely to be successful.
