  • foreign passports

The Swiss registry office will give you a Swiss-style birth certificate.

It must be taken to the Russian Embassy in Bern along with the following package of documents:

  • application from parents (to be filled in on the spot)
  • Russian domestic and foreign passports
  • marriage
  • certificate birth certificate of the child
  • 3 photos of each parent

It is also necessary to have all copies of these documents with you. Registration of citizenship of the Russian Federation for a child is issued up to 5 days.

It is important to note that Switzerland does not grant citizenship or residence permits to children born in their territory and their parents.
