The courseworks of the participants of the educational accelerator program "Development of medical tourism of the Perm Region" were presented in Perm, Russia

On October 28, the courseworks of the participants of the educational accelerator program "Development of medical tourism of the Perm Region" were presented in Perm (Russia), which completed a month-long educational course that included an eight-hour offline webinar and four online sessions with experts.

Mentors, authors and hosts of the acceleration program were:

• Evgeny Chernyshev — President of the Association of Medical and Academic Tourism, member of the working group on medical tourism at the State Duma and co-chairman of the Committee on Medical Tourism of the Russian Union of Travel Industry;
• Tatiana Sokolov - the international expert on medical tourism, founder of the company "MedicaTour" and author of a course on medical tourism at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

The expert commission reviewed 12 projects submitted by the participants of the course — medical institutions, travel agencies, individual entrepreneurs and the self-employed.

"All the project participants have done significant and serious work. Promising and interesting courseworks were presented. I wish all participants further success in the development of medical tourism," commented Tatiana Sokolov.

The program was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Perm Region, the Ministry of Health of the Perm Region and the Ministry of Tourism of the Perm Region. Her goal was to promote the development of her own medical tourism projects among medical organizations and participants in the tourism industry. The projects developed within the framework of the accelerator will become the basis for the implementation of a regional project to develop medical tourism in the Perm Region.

The event was organized by the Perm Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, a non-profit organization. The educational course was conducted with the support of the My Business Center.
