Oncology treatment with heavy ions has become available for MedicaTour patients. This technique is considered better than proton therapy and X-rays.

Its advantages

1. The lateral shadow around the tumor is much lower.
2. A biologically more effective dose can be applied to the tumor while reducing the dose to healthy tissue.
3. Heavy ion therapy is more effective for photon-resistant tumors, for example, osteosarcoma is photon-resistant.
4. More opportunities for small courses of radiation therapy.
