Good news for those wishing to undergo treatment in South Korea

As you know, everyone arriving in South Korea must undergo a two-week quarantine at their own expense, and only after that can treatment begin. SAM Hospital in Seoul took a step towards international patients - the hospital opened quarantine rooms right in the hospital. This means that the patient, after arriving in the country, can immediately begin treatment by staying in the quarantine ward.

The wards have been prepared in accordance with the latest directives from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Patients who need treatment for oncology, cardiovascular diseases, trauma, and joint transplantation can go through isolation within the walls of the hospital. The chambers were put into operation on 28 June.

Patients wishing to undergo treatment in SAM Hospital are issued a certificate confirming the patient's status, and a document is sent to the embassy to facilitate the accelerated issuance of a visa. After entering Korea, a COVID-19 test is carried out at the airport. If the test result is negative, the patient and his companion are immediately transported to the EMS hospital for quarantine within the walls of the ward, where he can immediately begin diagnosis and treatment.

Hospital provides two VIP rooms and one single room for isolation of foreign patients, fully equipped with the latest equipment. The patient can live in the isolation ward with an accompanying person (up to 2 people are allowed).

The head physician of the international center, Dr. Kim Eungyeon, commented on the opening of the isolation unit: "By opening quarantine wards for our international patients, we will be able to provide high-quality medical services more safely. We are trying to do our best to make our critically ill patients feel comfortable."
